I've had a couple of people ask me about this via the Contact link, so I figured I should explain what is going on.

To be honest I was not sure myself, when they asked.

One of the downsides of this being a personal blog is that I often don't know what is officially going on.

Even when it is stuff I am interested in (and MUI/Language Packs defnitely fall in that category)....

But to be honest I am not really needed for providing that kind of information, since there are other places like the knowledge base (947875: A language pack is not available when you click "View available updates" after you install Windows Vista Service Pack 1) as well as a good explanation on the Windows Vista Blog by Nick White. This keeps me from having to worry about it.

Hat Tip to Nick for making my life easier!
