IDN hits the uber-client

A long time ago, a bit before everybody started freaking out about IDN, I posted International Domain Names? The sign on the door says 'Gone Phishing'....

Not long after (when the freaking out began), I posted about how almost no one on the Unicode List seems to "get" phishing.

The real problem here? That everyone was rushing ahead so fast that they were not paying attention to the need to proceed with care.

Kind of like what Microsoft did? :-)

The team I am on put together the Mitigation tools for IDN security problems to help clients do the right thing here.

And now IEBlog (the ultimate client for such things) is reporting on International Domain Names in IE7. They are making good use of the functions and functionality we have provided and it is very exciting to see it out there.....
